The public health priorities we are focusing on in Somerset are to:
- reduce health inequalities
- increase life expectancy
We will achieve this through a wide range of targeted public health programmes to promote better health. These include:
- tackling smoking and particularly increasing the number of smoking quitters over the age of 16
- reducing alcohol-related harm
- actions/activities to improve sexual health
- improving the levels of physical activity
- encouraging healthy eating
- working with partners
